2021 Horse of the Year Warmblood Winners

Congratulations to Santiago who did so well in the SA Warmblood Classes. He was Reserve Champion SAW Gelding (Sponsored by Martini Stud) and he won the SAW Riding Horse Championship.
 
This qualified him for the Supreme Show Riding Horse. Against all the other breeds at the show he took the Title to become:

HOY 2021 Supreme Champion Riding Horse.
 
Owned by Kate Aitken and ridden Nicky Wright.

Gracie SVU (KWPN). This beautiful KWPN mare by Belissimo won her Champion Warmblood mare class (Sponsored by De Bruyn Equine), then was our Reserve Champion In Hand Warmblood (Sponsored by Manor D'Or Exclusive Stabling). The following day she became the Reserve Champion Warmblood Riding Horse. She went through to the

(KWPN) HOY 2021 Supreme Champion Breed Horse.

What Our Grooms are all About!

Arnold Madzivanika won the SAWHS Groom/ Handler for Warmbloods 2021.

The vet and owner of Luvtare stud, Tanya Hornschuh has known Arnold since 2008. She says: “He was working at the premises where we started our reproductive practice. Since then he has moved around a bit but Ive kept track of him. I
haven’t been able to afford him as a full time groom but he helps me back some of my horses. Ive always used him to teach my other grooms plaiting and turnout through the years. He worked for Ina until 2011. Vrijehof Graffiti who won Supreme Breed Horse HOY 2019, was trained as a youngster by him and prepped for HOY 2019.

He also prepared her for Presidents Cup Free Movement 2010 where she won under the Ger- man visiting judge. He is currently working at Rap- tors Ridge spa (Tracy Anderson).Tracy kindly al- lowed him to help me at HOY this year.
He won the SAWHS groom in hand as yo
u know and was 2nd/15 on the Saturday with the SASA Groom handler classes.

Then on the Sunday at the Supremes he was
Reserve Groom for the overall HOY Show.

In our Irish Sport horse classes Moses Soko
works for Killarus Irish Sport Horse Stud. He
does a lot of the stallion handling. Seen here
showing Killaraus Aine a young colt by Avanti Amorous Archie RID, he wond the Grooms class and went through to the Supreme Groom.

Joe Masoga, was our second placed groom. He works for Jodi Fernandez and has formed an amazing rapport with Callaho Abu Dhabi.

Jodi say “ Joe had been Abu Dhabi’s (Stable name is Boo ) for 8 months.

Joe and Boo are just amazing together.

 

Joe can do anything with him that most people, can’t including me. I can’t survive without Joe helping me he is just the best groom I’ve ever had with a horse.”
